Album Covers......

Due to the subject I am handling, this is gonna be one explicit post.... R Rating..........
But I hope its ok... we r all grown up now :P

0. Just identify these bands and albums.... pretty sraightforward

1.The album's cover was rumored to be meant to show this rock artist urinating on the American flag. Whether that was actually the intent has never been confirmed. Pretty guessable.... identify the artist and the album.

2.Based on the Robert Williams painting, this cover depicted a robot rapist about to be punished by a toothy metal avenger. MTV refused to play any of the bands videos because of this cover art. he band compromised and put the original cover art inside, replacing it with a cover depicting a cross and skulls of the five band membershis compromise did not satisfy MTV, and the network continued the video ban. Finally,David Geffen, then-president of Geffen Records called MTV and earnestly requested MTV to play the band's songs. MTV finally relented, and soon the album's headline single became the #1 most requested song in 24 hrs. Identify the band and possibly the album.

3. The album's intended artwork did not reach the UK in time to press the album, so a cover of naked women lounging in front of a black background was issued in its place. This guitarists family, who own the rights to the album and most of his catalogue, has stated that the original UK cover will never be used again since the artist himself did not like it. Identify this legendary guitarist and the album. Nice cover :D.
4. This cover is of a band which was the defining act of its genre. The lyrics contain mentions of or references to semen ,hymens, open sores, parasites, milk and even abortion. The cover as seen includes a photo of a TAM (Transparent Anatomical Mannikin), a medical, anatomical model on the front cover (with added angel wings), a collage of flowers, plastic fetuses and turtle shells on the back cover, and various symbols of fertility on the back cover and sprinkled throughout the liner notes, for which the album became very very controversial, despite for its huge commercial success. It is often regarded as the best album of the band. Identify.

5.This cover art was inspired by the ending of Arthur.C.Clarke's novel Childhood's End. (The ending involves several naked children, only slightly and physically resembling the human race in basic forms.) It is a collage of several photographs taken at the Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland, by Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis. The results of the shoot were less than satisifactory, but some accidental tinting effects in post-production created an unexpectedly magical album cover. It was initially released with a paper collar wrapped around the cover, printed with the band and album name, that had to be broken or slid off to access the record. This hid the children's bottoms from general display, but still the album was either banned or unavailable in Spain and some parts of the southern USA for several years. The cover was later rated #6 on VH1's 50 Greatest Album Covers in 2003. The album itself was the 149th greatest album of all time acc to VH1. Identify this legendary band and the legendary album.

6. The original album art, seen here, aroused the anger of some Hindus, who felt the artwork, taken from Hindu imagery and altered by giving the dancing figure a cat's head, was offensive. The band, who had been unaware of the source of the artwork, and record company apologized, and changed the artwork to the version seen above. Identify this album by "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band". (Hint: The CAT's head is significant)
7. The boy on the cover is Peter Rowan(brother of the band's lead singer's friend) . He also appears on 3 other album covers for the band. The image was changed laterto a distorted picture of the band for Canada and the USA due to fears that the band would be accused of pedophilia.
One other cover is also seen. Identify the band. Pretty simple due to the immense popularity of the band. :)
Hope you like the quiz.........

1. This fellow wrote a book called "The Great Boer War" in 1900 and he was decorated for his efforts in the same war with knighthood in 1902. His knighthood is often wrongly credited for some other stuff he did...Who is he..

2. India once had an obscure legspinner called Sairaj Bahutule in its playing 11. I guess he still plays domestic cricket. Identify X.

Cricket Megaconnect

1. This cricketer played 76 first class matches for Kent scoring 2152 runs at an average of 20.11 and took 1 wicket at an average of 19.00. In winter he played football for Fulham, Lincoln City and Walsall; he claimed to have played four sports professionally - the others being table tennis and boxing. He was awarded the OBE for his services to cricket.

2. _______ was born in Barnsley in April 1933. 5'10" and a right-hand batsman, _____ played in a Barnsley side that included Geoff Boycott and the journalist Michael Parkinson, with whom he remained friends. A good enough player to have represented Yorkshire during their period of dominance (debuting in 1956 against Scotland), a regular first team place eluded him in such a strong side (his career best performance 181* against Glamorgan at Bradford in 1959 was rewarded with omission from the next game as the senior players returned from Test duty) and he moved to Leicestershire at the end of that year. He won his county cap in his first season, 1960, in which he topped 1,000 first-class runs, but later referred to the decision to leave Yorkshire as "the biggest mistake of my life".

_____ retired relatively early, aged just 32, and spent a few years coaching and playing as a club professional. He later admitted to regret that his playing career had not been more successful (first-class average in 93 matches: 20.71) .

3. ________ came to cricket by accident. Signed as a footballer by Bristol Rovers - he scored 60 times for them in 139 league matches (including one in the famous 4-0 FA Cup victory over Manchester United in 1951) and had equally useful spells with Plymouth, Newport County and Bristol City) he earned some extra cash by helping the Gloucestershire groundstaff in the summer. But it soon became apparent that he was a more than capable wicketkeeper, even if his batting was poor, and he was a regular in the county side for 15 seasons. He played 406 first class matches scoring 5367 runs at an average of 14.19 and was a useful leg break bowler.

4. His career spanned 11 tests and 24 ODI's starting from 1986 till 1990. His first test was India vs. Australia in Mumbai 1986 and first ODI was India vs. England in Chandigarh, 1985.

5. ________ played 14 matches for Baluchistan, Quetta and Karachi and scored 422 runs at an average of 21.10 and took 12 wickets and an average of 22.58. He was born in Delhi in 1938.

6. His career spanned from 1986-95 with Test debut being NZ vs Aus in 1986 and ODI debut in the same tour in NZ vs Aus.

7. He was immensely popular as a player , his roly-poly figure again hiding his worth to Gloucestershire as a pugnacious middle-order batsman who contributed to the side both on and off the field. He made his county debut late - he was 25 - after dabbling in teaching, and smashed a hundred on debut. Despite his bulk, which made him something of a liability in the field, he excelled at the one-day game where his placing of shots compensated for his lack of speed between the wickets. Has played 282 first class matches scoring 10,672 runs at an average of 24.47. Was awarded MBE for services to cricket in 1997.

8. Made his test debut in 1989 in Kingston in the WI vs. India match and has a career spanning more than 100 tests. Made his ODI debut in WI vs India at St. John's and his ODI career spans more than 150 matches. Has been involved in five world cups.

Connect all of them. The connection itself is far, far easier than getting the individual names. And, of course, encode in rot13 and post in comments sections.

Name the virus/stripper.

2. This person is often known as the Wizard of _oz. When he was just 18 years old, he used to sell an illegal device called Blue Box at the Homebrew Computers, that enabled people to make free long distance calls. He went under the name Oak Toebark and his first call using this device was to the Pope in the Vatican, to make a confession. Who?

3. Versions of this old and venerable linux distro are named after characters of a animated movie produced by Walt Disney. Name the distro and the movie.

4."First off, I'd suggest buying "Seven Habits of Highly Successful People", and __NOT__ read it. Burn it, it's a great symbolic gesture. "
